During their visit to Blists Hill, the students learned about how the Victorians lived. They exchanged their money in the bank and spent it in the different shops in the town. The students visited the Victorian school and compared the mock-classroom with their own, noting the small desks with lids, quills and ink, fireplaces and chalkboards. Each of the students took part in candle-making as they tried to imagine what it would have been like to be a child during that era.
