Paramedics visit
This week morning pupils at Harlescott have been visited by the Ambulance Service.
Sam and Clare, 2 paramedics from the West Midlands Service visited pupils at Harlescott this week. They brought one of their ambulances, which pupils were excited to go in and learn about the equipment which they use. They explained about how the heart and lungs work and the special equipment that they use on patients. Pupils were able to check their pulse and oxygen levels using the equipment. Everyone enjoyed learning more about the ambulance and were able to hear the sirens! We also learnt about HART, a specialist section of the Ambulance Service and the equipment they use if they have to rescue people from the water. Many Thanks to Sam and Clare for coming in to see us.
