Abbey Visit
The students from Harlescott Education Centre visited the Abbey.
The students were given a tour of the Abbey by a volunteer. They were told about the history of the Abbey and its building by Roger Mongomery in the 11th century. It was initially a monastery where boys learnt to become monks from the age of 10! Peter showed us the golden eagle lectern which is the only bird believed to be able to reach God for the revelations.
